Dragon Day is a long-held tradition about collaboration and community at Cornell University. This year's dragon, designed by first-year architecture students, focuses on operability and reusability. It will feature expandable wings and moving tail sections made of dimensional lumber paneled with a cardboard skin. At the end of the parade, the dragon will fully expand on the Arts Quad with its wings stretched out above the crowd. The first-year students will be accompanied by AAP's student community, with an open invitation extended to the whole university to attend the parade.
