Design Tech Lecture Series

Bio

Heeju Park studied human sciences and functional apparel design after working in the sportswear industry for five years. At Cornell, his research has focused on wearable technology, personal protective clothing systems, and sports apparel through creative use of technologies and data-driven technical design processes. This lecture will discuss fashion and wearables as the most intimate human interface and protection. Park will also discuss how design and manufacturing of on-body interfaces can make a significant contribution to human well-being, equity, humanity, and sustainability. This lecture will end with a brief outlook into the blueprint of fashion and wearables.
