The creative freedom and intellectual drive that exists on this campus are unparalleled.

Why did you choose Cornell and AAP?

After coming to Cornell for the Summer College Introduction to Architecture program, I fell in love with the B.Arch. program and professors. I was surrounded by peers from different cultures, who were each the best at what they do. The creative freedom and intellectual drive that exists on this campus are unparalleled.

What experiences have contributed to your sense of belonging at AAP?

My research with the Program of Computer Graphics has largely influenced my work in the architecture studio. Skills I was able to learn in virtual reality and 3D modeling, as well as the role of light in design, have become a huge part of my professional design interests.

What are your extracurricular interests and how have you incorporated them into your college life?

I'm a member of Sabor Latino, Cornell's Latin dance troupe, and I was the teaching assistant for PE 1162 Salsa last semester. Dancing is a great way for me to relax after a long day of classes and meet people outside of architecture.

What do you hope to accomplish during your time at AAP and after graduation?

I want to explore my design interests and figure out how to find the right intersection of fields that I love.
